Gel vs. Dip Powder vs. Acrylic Nails: Which Is Best?

Gel
Glossy, natural-looking polish cured under a lamp. Lasts about 2–3 weeks, no dry time. Great if you like your own nail length.
Dip powder
Colored powder layered for a strong, lightweight finish. Lasts 3–4 weeks and is tougher than gel. A good middle ground.
Acrylic
The strongest option and the only one that easily adds length and dramatic shapes. Needs a fill every 2–3 weeks.
Which should you pick?
- Want natural and simple: gel.
- Want strength without extensions: dip powder.
- Want length and shape: acrylic.
All three should be removed properly in the salon to keep your natural nails healthy.
